Some sessions just feel extra special, and this one definitely did.
We spent the evening trampling through fields that were still very much holding onto their February “end of winter” look, chasing pockets of golden light, and trying our best to work with the wind instead of against it. Safe to say the wind had its own plans for the evening — but honestly, we made it work!
These two are about to become parents, and getting to document this season for them was such an honor. There was so much joy and excitement woven into the evening, along with the kind of calm love that just makes a session feel easy. Chase and Arielle were so easygoing and such a pleasure to photograph!
And of course, we have to talk about the shoes. 👟 They had custom NFL baby shoes made to announce their pregnancy, which might genuinely be one of my favorite session details ever. At some point this child is probably going to have to pick a team… but thankfully that decision is still a few years away.
More than anything, this session just felt like one of those quiet reminders of how kind God is in the way He writes our stories. I’m so grateful I got to capture a small piece of this one. 🤍
